Abalone is a very unique and rare shell found along coastal waters throughout the world. After thousands of years of harvesting this beautiful and unique shell it is illegal to harvest in many areas of the world, due to its dwindling numbers. Abalone meat is considered a delicacy in many parts of Latin America, Asia and New Zealand. Commercial Abalone Farms now provide the majority of Abalone meat for consumption and much of the jewelry found throughout the world. For jewelry each shell must be broken, split, cut and polished before it shows the varied blue-green-violet colors that make it so attractive for jewelry settings. All of our Abalone jewelry comes from environmentally sustainable resources in Mexico.
Abalone Care: Protect your Abalone Jewelry from hard blows so as not to chip or crack the shell. Always put on your perfume, hairspray, etc... before you put your jewelry on, as they can be very harsh on the gemstones. When you remove your jewelry make sure to clean it with a soft cloth using warm soap and water if necessary to clean it and then store it separately from other jewelry to protect it from breakage. Never ever use harsh cleaners or chemicals to clean. |

Malachite is a famous and very popular semi-precious mineral gemstone. It is named for the Greek word for "mallow", a green herb. Its banded light and dark green designs are one-of-a-kind, and give it a unique ornamental quality unlike that of any other stone. The light and dark green bands are so distinctive that Malachite is one of the most easily recognized minerals by the general public. Malachite has a rating of 3.5 to 4 on the Mohs Scale. |

River Pearls from the Pearl River Delta in Southern China. Each pearl is created by mother nature and is a unique design and individual size. We carry many different shades of pearls ranging from creamy whites to hues of navy & black. Pearls are much softer then most other types of gemstones and must be handled with care in order to protect them from damage. Never ever use harsh abrasive cleaners on them. Use only a damp or dry soft lint free cloth with a very mild soap if necessary. Always put on your makeup, hairspray and perfumes prior to your pearls. Be especially careful when storing. It is best to store pearls separately from each other and other jewelry in a soft bag or cloth. Never put your pearls in an ultrasonic cleaner as it will strip away the nacre film on the outside of the pearl. |
